Whanaungataga

Easy Blog Photo
Over 9 weeks 1  I  have been learning about my mihi whaanaungatanga identity and  manaakitanga.
Manaakitanga are the steps to whanaungatanga.

whanaungatanga means a sense of belonging to a group.

I used pastels to colour in my art work and for the big black gaps i have done some patterns so it can stand out more.

I have copied the other side of my face with a pencil because the other side was printed.   after drawing my face with a pencil I started to colour my face in with pastels.

As you can see my artwork with korus on it represents my family.   the two big korus are my mum and dad and the four small korus are me my brother and my two sisters.

A pepeha is your school, principal, teacher, room number, where you're from, you're family name, and your name.

My art work that is big has my name, six korus,a turtle, and a pattern that i did for fun
